Various strategies will be used in assisting you to resolve your problem - these will be discussed with you at your initial consultation, e.g. suggestion, analysis, visualisation, NLP, EFT, etc. A brief overview of these are given below:-
HYPNOTHERAPY is carried out in two entirely different ways:-
Suggestion Therapy – this is ideal for helping to cope with such things as examination fears, driving test nerves, smoking, nail biting, some weight-control problems, stress, and so on. Usually between two and four sessions are needed.
Analytical Therapy – this is used for more deep-rooted problems – the aim is to find and remove the underlying original cause where there is a psychological factor at work. The treatment period will normally be between six and twelve weekly sessions and will usually produce a complete and lasting release from the symptom(s).
Other strategies are:
NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) – this tackles the persistent patterns of behaviour that we learn and then repeat. In layman’s terms NLP enables you to understand what makes you tick – how you think – how you feel – how you make sense of everyday life in the world around you. Armed with this understanding, your whole life – work and play – can become magical, giving you new choice and new perspectives.
EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) – Energy psychology tools such as EFT work with the subtle energy system to restore balance and order to the fields of energy which influence our physical, emotional and mental health. EFT is based on the discovery and principle that any upsetting experience or problem is associated with a disturbance in our energy system – energy therapy facilitates rapid relief and promotes deep and effective change. As there is a link between emotional blocks and physical health, by tuning into our limiting thoughts, upsetting emotions and painful memories while treating the energy system, the underlying disturbances are released, restoring once again balance and flow of energy.
Life Coaching - this comprises of purposeful talks between us where you clarify and resolve problems, reach agreement and commit to action and this inspires you to create the life you want. Life Coaching can help you form the questions that lead to answers that are right for you, which is a lot better than taking someone else’s answers on board. Life Coaching uses dialogue as well to move you along in the right direction and get to the root of everything. This results in having a sense of who you are – a feeling of being “comfortable in your own skin”
